Programme Selection

We offer four main levels of classroom based training courses, which is emphasised by the matrix below:

Scheduled Public Training

Our public courses give you the option to select from a wide range of standard courses from our rolling six monthly schedule. This is a cost-effective solution which clients may wish to utilise to meet their ad-hoc, individual training needs.

Private Training

Private courses can be scheduled exclusively for a group or department within your organisation. The content would cover that of a public course. Benefits of a private sessions include:

  • Courses scheduled to suit your timeframe
  • Staff share the learning experience together
  • Common issues can be discussed and solved during the training
  • Substantial savings on a per delegate head basis for higher group sizes.

Tailored Training

Tailored courses are scheduled exclusively for your organisation with the added benefit of customising certain elements of content to further contextualise the learning experience.  Topics can be selected from a range of modules [courses and materials] with client relevant examples blended into the fabric of each course. Materials are customised by our training support team to reflect content changes. Benefits of a tailored course include:

  • Courses scheduled to suit your timeframes
  • Your business processes or particular performance issues are addressed
  • Organisational specific scenarios and case studies will contextualise the training thus enhance the learning impact on your staff.
  • Substantial savings on a per delegate head basis for higher group sizes.

Bespoke Training

Bespoke solutions are interventions where content is determined entirely by the client. Working from a blank canvas and without pre-conceived ideas our training consultants will liaise client-side with a variety of stakeholders. Our succinct course development methodology facilitates the design and development of turnkey solutions that help bridge real world skills gaps. Bespoke solutions could also include company wide initiatives such as induction courses. In most instances they will involve consultancy, course design and courseware development time.

Bite-sized Modular Sessions

Traditionally, instructor-led courses have been of one day or more duration. Today we are finding the work environment demands a more flexible approach to training, which is why we have incorporated i-Bite interventions into our portfolio of delivery mechanisms. This service modularises key topics within applications which can then be "mixed and matched" and delivered over a day. Delegates then have the opportunity to sit one or any number of i-Bite sessions depending on their specific requirements.

Floorwalking/IT Surgeries

Laidlaw & Constable are helping more and more clients by supplying experienced floor-walkers to provide immediate desk side support for users in the workplace. This tends to be particularly useful during corporate rollout/migration projects.

Similarly, and for reasons of sensitivity, some clients request we set up an on-site environment for one-to-one surgery style delivery.
