Needs Assessment

Typically, training needs arise when people are recruited into an organisation, change job roles, adopt new working methods or are confronted with new initiatives which demand higher standards of achievement.  These situations mean that people will invariably have to do different things, or the same things differently.  Unless these needs are to be met by other methods, it is likely, people will require assistance to learn new skills.

Training needs should be identified when plans are being made to:

  • implement a new initiative
  • recruit new people
  • create new posts
  • introduce a new technology
  • implement organisational changes.

Training Needs Analysis [TNA]

Laidlaw & Constable's Training Needs Analysis (TNA) ensures training objectives will align with your workplace requirements and help your staff move to a higher level of competency and confidence.

A TNA is designed to determine the gap between a delegate's current skill and knowledge with the organisation's required competency levels and expectations.  The resulting TNA report outlines the appropriate training strategies required to fill this performance gap.  This often results in a tailored training program.  Laidlaw & Constable are able to tailor a TNA for your organisation in areas of software applications, bespoke systems, management and soft skills training.

360° Appraisal
