Chances are you have already noticed the blank screen, which Word presents when you first open the program. While it may be obvious that this white space is in fact an empty document, knowing how to navigate the Word interface and understand what all the buttons at the top and bottom of the screen do is another matter altogether. Customising the toolbars and learning about their functionality and why we use them is just one of the many things you will learn as a delegate on the Microsoft Word Foundation level training course. You will also learn the correct and keyboard shortcuts to format text, indent paragraphs, apply bullets and numbers, format borders and use features such as AutoText and AutoCorrect. Basic and sound document creation, formatting and navigation are the central themes to this level of Microsoft Word Training.
As you learn more about Microsoft Word, you will come to realise that much of your work involves organising the content and improving the appearance of your document. Some of those, otherwise time consuming tasks, can be achieved much quicker through the use of Tables, Sections, Columns and Styles. Methods of how to apply these tools and confidently work with these functions are thoroughly addressed in the Intermediate level of our Microsoft Word Training course. In addition, you will also cover equally important aspects of document creation such as: the spell and grammar check, Thesaurus, Mail Merge, tools to track changes and compare different versions of your document. The main focus of this course concentrates on document planning, structure and presentation.
If you are looking for more advanced Microsoft Word Training then the Power User course may be the course for you. This introduces delegates to the features associated with efficient management of large documents, working with outlines, master documents, table of contents, indexing, captions and citations. You will also explore the use of macros, templates, fields and electronic forms. The Power User course will provide you with a sound understanding and use of the advanced tools and functionality within Microsoft Word.
Finally, the Microsoft Word VBA course has been designed for those experienced Word users who wish to gain a thorough working knowledge of VBA. This course will enable them to develop and automate Word solutions. Delegates will examine sample code, learn how to create macros from scratch, be encouraged to write programs so that future maintenance can be carried out with the minimum of effort.
