This one day hands-on course provides delegates with the necessary skills on how to convert any Windows file format to the industry-standard Portable Document Format (PDF), also known simply as Acrobat. The course focuses on converting files such as those produced by Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to the industry-standard Acrobat format.

Target Audience

Those responsible for converting documents into Acrobat PDF formats or anyone interested in creating electronically distributed PDF documents.

Pre-requisites

To fully benefit from this course, attendees should be familiar with the operating system, keyboard Windows Explorer and Microsoft Office applications.


Course Objectives

On completion of the course delegates will be able to:

• Understand the role of Acrobat and the PDF format
• Understand Acrobat 6.0 screen components and work area
• Navigate Acrobat files using a variety of methods
• Understand the multiple roles of the Navigation pane
• Gain experience converting a variety of file formats to PDF
• Customize Acrobat file quality using conversion settings and job options
• Edit text and graphics in Acrobat files using special TouchUp tools
• Insert comments and notes into PDF documents
• Use the four categories of stamp comments
• Add password protection to Acrobat files
• Insert, delete, replace, extract, crop, and rotate pages
